Now, let's talk about the food. The menu is a delightful mix of Mexican-inspired dishes that take traditional flavors and give them a fun, fresh spin. You can start with something simple but irresistible, like their tacos. Each taco is packed with flavor, thanks to fresh ingredients and meats that are perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more substantial, their burritos are a crowd favorite. Big enough to satisfy your hunger and bursting with a variety of textures, from crunchy to creamy, they’re filled with the kind of love that makes you want to savor every bite.

But what really sets El Chingon Philly apart is its innovative takes on classic dishes. For example, their quesadillas go beyond the usual cheese and tortilla combo, incorporating bold flavors like sautéed peppers, mushrooms, and different meats, all held together by perfectly melted cheese. They’ve also mastered the art of the enchiladas, which arrive at your table piping hot, smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce.

It's not just the entrees that will keep you coming back. The side dishes at El Chingon Philly are equally impressive. The Mexican street corn is a must-try, with its smoky char, creamy cotija cheese, and a tangy kick that pairs perfectly with any meal. And don’t forget about their guacamole-freshly made and perfectly balanced, it’s the ideal way to start your meal.

When it comes to drinks, the house margaritas are a game changer. If you’re in the mood to cool off, their agua frescas are refreshing, light, and full of flavor, perfect for pairing with your meal.

What’s also worth mentioning is the incredible attention to detail in their customer service. You can tell that the staff genuinely cares about your experience, offering recommendations based on what you’re in the mood for and making sure your visit is as comfortable as possible. Plus, the team always seems to be in a great mood, adding to the welcoming environment.

El Chingon just earned the Bib Gourmand awarded by Michelin. The Bib Gourmand is a prestigious award given by the MICHELIN Guide to restaurants that offer "exceptional food at great value". It is a distinction that recognizes high-quality cooking at moderate, affordable prices, though the specific price threshold varies by country based on local cost of living. Their food and service was excellent, the Aquachile Mixto was so tasty. The Rabbit Tinga Tostadas was so tender that it melts in your mouth. The tacos Quesabirrias was exceptional. The tres leches for me, my son loved it, I did not enjoy as much because they substituted the cream with rice. Definitely recommend to go try but recommend to make reservations.

Third or fourth time I visit this place. Foot and the flavor are Legit. Food is incredible, very delicious. Highly recommend it. Reserve a table on weekends. The wait staff is also very good! BYOB. Very good margarita mix available if you bring your own T. 10/10 recommend it.

Omg this place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, everything felt so warm and welcoming. The restaurant is spotless (like seriously pristine) and the little details in the décor made it feel cozy yet festive. The food? Out of this world! Every bite was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully plated (yes, even the guac looked too pretty to eat ). Service was beyond sweet —everyone had a smile and made us feel like family. 10/10 would recommend for date nights, family dinners, or just treating yourself to happiness on a plate. Can’t wait to come back!

Really amazing family owned and family run place. I loved the whole aesthetic and how much care was put into how everything looked. The rabbit tinga is super worth it!
